Tons of anglers out in Deerpoint Lake several of them boating irresponsibly speeding down narrow channels almost hitting other boaters, So be aware of your surroundings and others around you. the male bass are definitely in the beds as the females are roaming. What worked for me this morning was travel into a creek stay along the banks travel at slow speeds casting at the shore and when you get to an inlet cut your motor and let the wind push you in turn your trolling motor to its lowest speed and use it to steer. Cast near stumps and brush piles using any rubber worm watermelon re or watermelon red candy. Slowly retrieve it keeping it on the bottom use 1/16-3/16oz weight. Caught three very healthy bass today water temp between 65 and 70 degrees, sunny, wind 8-14mph.
